Review: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Commander In Chic

Hello everyone, I have a new blog post. Sorry I haven't updated everyday like I usually do, I've been sick lately and needed to rest a little.

I've decided to do a review on this nail polish. This is one I recently bought, I believe it was around 7 dollars and I got it at Target. I usually don't go for colors like this but it looked so pretty! It looks so great on the nails and it doesn't chip very easily and you only need 1 or 2 coats, depending on how deep you want the color to turn out.

It's the perfect color for fall and winter. I would describe the color as a taupe color with a purple undertone. I want to try other colors in the "complete salon manicure" line, as this one works so good for me.

Would I repurchase this product? Yes

Review: Caudalie Cleansing Water

Hey everyone, I have another review. I've been using this product for a few weeks now and I decided that now would be a good time to review it.

This is the Caudalie Cleansing Water. I got this in a 3 piece skincare mini set from Sephora. It was a 500 point purchase, if you're a beauty insider with them.

Now what this product does is clean and purify your skin and also takes off even the most stubborn of makeup. It is one of those products that a little will go a long way. I only use 2 cotton balls, one for both eyes and one for my entire face and I generally use this at night but you can use it in the morning and night.

When I use it, it makes my skin feel clean, clear and so smooth, I've never tried a product quite like this one that works so well. It literally takes off EVERYTHING on your face. Just remember to moisturize after you use it. However, this doesn't make my face feel dry at all.

Would I repurchase this product? Yes

Would I recommend this product? Yes

Smokey Grey Make up Look

Here is a new make up tutorial. I know I haven't done one in a while. I can't seem to find my camera charger so I had to take the pictures with my webcam. Even though the picture quality isn't great, I promise you that this look is so beautiful. Its great for if you're having friends over for dinner but yet subtle enough for daytime as well.

List of products used:

1.  Too Faced Naked Eye Palette. Sephor or Ulta, $36
1. Satin Sheets
2. Unmentionables
3. Pink Cheeks
4. Lap Dance
5. Stiletto
6. In The Buff
2. Liquid eyeliner
3. Mascarra 
4. Eye Primer

First, apply your eye primer and blend it out well. I used the NARS one because thats the only one I currently have.

After that, take a flat shader brush, I use the ELF one, and take the color Lap Dance and apply it all over your lid.

Then take a crease brush and take the color Unmentionables and start in the outer corner working your way into the crease and blend.

Wipe off that crease brush real well on a napkin and lightly dip it into the color Stiletto and apply this to your outer corner only, giving it that outer V shape and adding more dimension to the look.

Next, take a small pencil brush and take the color Pink Cheeks and put that in the inner corner. Using the same brush, take the color Satin Sheets and work it into the inner 1/3 of your eyelid, over the color Lap Dance.

Take a fluffy eye brush and take the color In The Buff and put it on the brow bone and using the color to blend out any of the harsh lines you may have in your crease and outer corner.

Lastly, line your eyes and put on your favorite mascarra.

Review: Elf Makeup Remover Cleansing Clothes

Hey everyone, I’m back with a review. I think I’m going to start doing reviews more often because I think people nowadays want to look at the review of a product from several sources instead of seeing a whole bunch of make up looks.

I’m here today to review the ELF Make up Remover Cleansing Cloths. I got mine at KMart and it was only $2.99! I thought it was good for the price. You get 20 of them and they come in a soft, sleek black package. It’s easy for travel and to have at home. I don’t wear make up everyday but when I do, I use these at night to take all of it off.

There are only 2 bad things I have to say about this product. The first one is the smell, I don’t even know how to describe it, it smells like some kind of chemical. Another thing is that it makes my face and eyes red for a few minutes but after my skin settles down, because I do have sensitive skin, it looks clean and is smooth to the touch.
I hope you like this review, as there will be more in the future.

Cheap brush dupes (EYES) pt 2

Hello everyone, this is the second installment to the cheap brush dupes post that I did before this one. So lets go ahead and get into it =]

1) Your basic eyeshadow brush.

Now this, you can get practically anywhere. Sephora, MAC, and even drugstores have them. They ALL do the same thing.

Here's the one I use:




I got this in a set actually. Posh makes it. I got it at KMart for $9.99, but it came with 4 other brushes, and they're all double ended. Good deal, if you ask me.


2) Flat shader brush


Now this isn't really required to be in your kit, but if you use loose eyeshadows and pigments, this may come in handy in picking up the colors. The brushes are stiff and really pack on the color.

Here's the one I use:




This isn't actually a make up brush XD. It's actually a small paint brush, but it works in the same way. I got this at Michaels craft store for $7.99.

3) Crease brush
To add definition to the eye, we add a color to our crease. To do this, you use a crease brush, right?

I technically didn't pay for this brush XD. I got it FREE with my foundation brush, which is on the post before this. Again, I got this at KMart.


4) Blending

After you finish your look, you want it to look put together right? Well you won't if you have harsh lines everywhere. This is where blending comes into play. Sure, you can use your finger, but that always doesn't get the job done. I recommend using a soft fluffy brush.

Here's the one I use:

This actually came in a set of 5. It came with the "Ecotools 5 piece eye brush kit". I got it at Walgreens for $7.99. It has every tool that I need to complete a look.

5) Highlight brush

To make us look more polished and more awake, or to even add something to the look, we use a highlight color. Usually, this is the lightest eyeshadow that you use in your look. This is optional, I don't use a highlight for every look I do, but for some, I do.

6) Pencil brush

You can use the pencil brush to give your outer v a shape and to even line your lower lash line without being to dramatic.

Cheap Brush dupes (FACE) pt 1

Hello everyone. I thought I would post this tutorial on cheap brush dupes, because lets face it, most of us don't have $25 to spend on one single brush that you know won't be around forever. I certainly don't have that kind of money at least. I've been using these brushes I'm going to show you today for a very long time. They were cheap, not one costed over $10. So if you're a make up junkie like me, then this may be a good read for you XD.

1) Foundation Brush

We all know that most women wear foundation. Using your fingers waste the products and it gets messy, so we turn to the brush. You have two choices when it comes to this. You can either A) buy the really expensive one or B) buy the cheap one that does the exact same thing.

Here is the brush I use:

I got this brush at KMart for $7.99 AND it came with a free brush. How many high end department stores offer that? None that I know of!

2) Concealer Brush

It's a common belief that no one is perfect. So what do we use to to cover up those little imperfections? We use concealer! Since most of us want a nice finished look, most of us also use a brush for this problem area.

Here is the brush I use:

I got this brush at target for $3. I've yet to have a problem with it. For those that want to know, this brush is made by E.L.F.

3) Blush

To give ourselves a hint of color, we use blush right? Sure there are cream and gel blushes but it's fair to say that most of use powder blushes, as they are still popular. What do you apply it with? A blush brush! The brush I use for this...I'm not even sure if it's a blush brush...but it works for me! My mom gave it to me, so I'm sorry, I don't know where it came from =/. But you CAN find cheap ones at the drugstore.

Review: Maybelline Super Stay Makeup

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't updated in a while, I was kind of busy with other things x.x. I was going to do a make up tutorial, but since I washed my all my make up brushes and they're still drying, I figured I'd do a review on my current foundation. But I have to say, I'm probably going to change to a different one within the next couple of weeks.

I got this foundation a while ago, like 2 or 3 months back. I was looking for a foundation that wouldn't go anywhere when I touched my face or when I sweated a little bit. And I have to say, for a drugstore product, it really works well. Below are my PROS and CONS of this product.

PROS

• Long Wearing
• Good Selection of colors
• Blends well
• Covers up well
• Comes off good

CONS

• If I wear it for too long, it makes me break out really bad
• I got a light shade, and it was too dark!
• Gets messy

Would I recommend this?Probably not. It does make me break out.
Would I repurchase?No.

Face Routine

Hey everyone, today I'd thought I'd share my face routine =]. It wasn't really requested, it was more of an idea. Well here we go!

First off, I have to say, all these opinions are my own, all products were bought with my own money. Everything I use on this blog has been bought with my own money. If it was sent to me, I will say so =].

Also, I use very cheap products and it works for me =].

For some background info, I have fair, oily/combination skin. I do break out, but not as often as I used to.

In the morning and night, I use the L'Oreal Go 360 deep cream cleanser. It's the pink and white one. I heard that it was for dry skin....but that was AFTER I had already bought it and used half the bottle XD. But it helps my skin get clean and that's all I care about =]. It also doesn't leave me running for my moisturizer after 2 seconds like past cleansers have. I totally reccomend this to anyone really.

For a moisturizer, I use the L'Oreal Daily Active moisturizer with SPF 15. I ran out and I tried to re-buy it, but I couldn't find it, so I bought something else. This moisturizer is the best I've ever had. It's oil free and it goes on SO SMOOTH. I love it. I can't start my day without it. It does however, after a few hours, make my skin get a little bit oily, but I don't mind it.

For taking off eye make up, I use the Lancome eye make up remover...the one in the blue bottle that you have to shake to mix it up. Sorry, I don't remember what it's called.

For taking off other make up. I use the Neutrogena waterproof make up remover wipes, these wipes get off EVERYTHING. I'm on like my 5th pack of them now XD.

Hey everyone, sorry for not updating in a long time...but I'm back and with a new tutorial =]. I did have 3 other tutorials lined up, but I really really like this look, so I thought I'd share it =].

The first thing you want to do is prime your eyes with a base. This will help the shadow stick to something, keep it from creasing and increase the vibrancy of the colors.

Next, using one of your fingers, take the color "True" It looks like a dark purple and it's a cream color. Take a little bit and put it all over your lid.

Take your flat shader brush, using one side of it, take the color solitude and put it over the entire lid, over the cream shadow.

Turn your flat shader brush over and take the color peggy, it's a turquise color and put it about 1/3 to 1/2 of the outer part of your eyelid.

Blend the two colors together.

Take your pencil brush, and take the color hard lucky, it's a mossy dark green and define your outer v with it, and put it over the turoquise color.

Blend well.

Line your eyes and then put on mascarra!

Bronze Fire Eye Makeup tutorial

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay on tutorials! I've been really busy lately because I graduate tomorrow! I can't wait =]. Me and my friend were talking about make up and I told her about the Covergirl smokey shadow blast and so I decided to do a tutorial on it. Sorry that the pictures kind of suck...my camera wouldn't cooperate with me -.-. Anyways, here we go!

First off, I have to say, I don't particulary like this product. It has greaty color payoff, in person XD, but it creases almost instantly. As you can see in the picture below, the result of this tutorial, you can see that it already creased and I took pictures right away. But it's great to wear to the beach, since it'll come off easy or if you have non-oily lids, unlike me XD.

First, prime your eyes, this will help the shadow stick to your eye and not do a disappearing act.

So take "step 1" the lightest shade, and put it all over the lid.

Next, take "step 2" and put a few strokes of it into the crease, just dark enough to where you can see a distinct line.

Next, either take a eye shadow brush or your finger and blend it in, and pulling it out more, to give it that smokey effect.

Line your eyes and apply mascarra. That's it! It's relatively easy but the shadow doesn't last long, even with a primer.

Unashamed Eye Make up tutorial

Hey everyone, heres a new tutorial =]. This makeup is pretty basic, since we really only use 4 products. This is like a pinky neutral color. But in person, it doesn't look neutral, I don't know how to explain it XD. Enjoy!

The first step is to prime your eyes. This will keep the eyeshadow from creasing and increase the vibrancy of the color.

Take your flat shader brush and get the color all over it, tap off the excess, and put it all over your lid and into the crease very lightly.

Take your blending brush and blend out the harsh lines.

Line your eyes and put on mascarra and you're done! =]

Summer Bronze/Vegas Strip tutorial

Hey everyone, here is another neutral/bronzy look. I think this one is for the summer because it has the right subtle colors that remind you of that awesome tan that we're all going to get this summer ;). Also, juicystar07, did a tutorial using the same palette I'm using, the only thing I did differently was the outer v. Now the first thing you want to do is prime your eyes. This is so the shadow doesn't crease.

I'm going to follow every step in juicystar07's video, except for the outer v, so if you'd rather see it done, please go to her channel. If not, then I will continue below.

Next, mix the 2nd and 3rd colors together and put it all over your lid.

Mix the last 2 colors together and put it in your crease.

Now, here's where I go differently. Instead of using a black eyeshadow, which will be too harsh during the summer when you're lounging with friends, I just used the last color in the palette.

I took a pencil brush and got the color on there and then I just put it in my outer v.

Next, line your eyes, put on your mascarra and you're done! A simple summer look made easy =]

Reverse Color Eye Makeup Tutorial

You guys have heard of the "Neutral color pop" eye make up right? Where everything is neutral on top, and then a shocking color on the bottom? Well, in this tutorial, this is like the reverse of it. the color is on top, instead of on the bottom.

The first thing I did was put on my eyeshadow primer. Even though both the eyeliners I used are waterproof, I still wanted to make sure that they would stay in place.

Next, I took the milani eyliner and made a semi thick line on the upper lash line. This will give your eyes that pop of color.

After that, I lined my eyes with the prestige eyeliner on the lower lash line and the water line. This will help your eyes from not looking too bold. I did wear this look the other day in broad daylight.

After that, I just finished up with some mascarra.

This look was really easy to achieve and quick to do. All of my friends loved it =].

On the picture below, the flash made me flinch, so that's why it looks like I have wrinkles lol. Enjoy!

Natural 1 Eye Makeup tutorial

Hey everyone =]. Sorry I didn't do a tutorial the next day like I said I would. I had my prom this weekend so everything was kind of chaotic =P. Since I had some free time, I thought I'd do a tutorial on a natural eye. This one is great for school and for the workplace, it gives color, but yet a natural look as well. I named this one "Natural 1" because I have many different neutral eyeshadows, and knowing me, I will probably do a tutorial on all of them. When I get them all up, you can compare them and see which one is best for you =]. Well here we go!

First, prime your eyes.

Next, take your eyeshadow brush and get the color "Serengeti" all over your lid and into the crease just a little bit.

Take your pencil brush and take the color "Andes" and put it just in the outer v, defining the eye. This will give your eye a more definite shape. If you need help find your outer v, you can either google or youtube it, since I probably won't be very good at explaining it. Sorry x.x.

After that, take your blending brush and blend the andes and serengeti color together to avoid any harsh lines.

Next, take your small angled brush and put the color "Sahara" in your inner corners. This will brighten up your eyes, making you look more awake.

Line your eyes with the loreal liquid eyeliner and then put on your mascarra.

Now your done! It's really simple =]. I hope you like it!

Beauty tip!

Hey everyone, since I didn't have time to do a tutorial today (I'll have one tomorrow, I promise!), I decided to just share a little beauty tip that I love. It might not even be a tip o.o....I don't know, I just found this information a few months ago and it helps me a lot, especially when I'm applying lipstick or lipgloss, or even just plain chapstick.

The tip is that before you go to bed, cover your lips in Vaseline, like if you were putting chapstick on. If you have dry lips and can't seem to get rid of them, then try this. I had that problem and now, it's all good =].

When you put this on and you sleep right after, all you're really doing is moisturizing your lips. When you wake up in the morning, you'll wake up to brighter, more smoother and softer lips. =]

Makover Eye Makeup Tutorial

For this tutorial, I basically did a simple pink eye. I didn't use a lot of products because on the day that I wore this, it was 80 degrees out! But yet, thanks to my new foundation (review may be coming soon =]), my makeup nor my eyeshadow came off until I took it off myself =].

If you're like me and have really oily skin, you're going to want to prime your eyes to keep it from creasing. You can use Urban Decay's primer or the too faced one or even the new one that benefit has. I only have the too faced one since it's my favorite. All you need is a dot and it covers your entire eyelid.

Next, take any eyeshadow brush you have on hand and take the color 'Makeover' from lancome. Now since this is a very easy color to find, all you really need is a metallicy, shimmery pink if you can't get the lancome one. Put the color all over your lid and even stretch it into your crease just a little bit. You don't want it to be too dramatic since this is going to be a daytime look.

Now to get rid of any harsh lines, take your blending brush and just blend out the line where you stopped applying the eyeshadow. Next, line your eyes with the loreal felt tip liquid eyeliner.

Put on your mascarra and you're done! See, it was very easy =]

Pure Romance Eye Make Up tutorial

In this tutorial, I will show you how to, basically, use the CG Eye Enhancer Pure Romance quad. Now I'm not saying that this is the only way you can use these eyeshadows, this is just a guide. =]

1) CG Eye Enhancers in Pure Romance

2) Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance

3)L'Oreal Paris Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner

4) Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous in Very Black

5) Some eyeshadow brushes. I use Posh's eye brushes since I can't afford any mac right now =/.

The first thing you want to do is prime your eyes. I used Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance. I got this at sephora for around $17 but it's a great product.

Next, using the pure romance quad, take the color 2nd to the left and put it all over your lid.
Now take the color 3rd from the left and put it over the lid color.

Take your crease brush and use the 1st color on the left in your crease. Now blend to erase any harsh lines. Take a small angled brush and put white (the last color we haven't used) in the inner corners.

Line your eyes with any black liquid liner. I used the loreal one. Put on any black mascarra you have.

Now, for the lips, in my opinion, should be kept neutral, but do whatever feels comfortable to you =]. I used Kathy Van Zeeland's lip gloss in "In the Buff". I don't know where I got it, sorry =/.
